Tasting Note
A delightful bouquet of ripe strawberries, hint of brown sugar, almost jammy. On the palate, this wine develops into layers of mulberries, fresh cherries, dates, and a touch of smoked black tea, reflecting the terroir of Yunnan. It is soft, easy to drink, with smooth tannins and textures.

Service: Decant 30 minutes. Serve at 18°C - 20°C.
Vinification
Manual harvest into 16kg baskets. Hand-selected clusters. Flesh is removed before fermentation.
Fermentation at 24-26°C in stainless steel tanks. Blended 20-30% with wine that has spent at least 2-3 months with French oak. Estate bottled.
Climate and Soil
Typically 8-22°C. Lows 4-5°C; highs 26-27°C. Humidity 60-85%. 11-13.5 hrs sun per day. 850mm rain per year. Harvest in July. Sandy soil; fine and coarse sand. Good drainage. High in mineral content, especially iron; soil has a dull red appearance. Weakly alkaline. Natural fertiliser added during winter.
